Company History
IMS American Marine Electronics was founded in 2003 as an affiliated company of American Custom Yachts (ACY). IMS operates out of ACY's 63-acre full service marine facility located on the Okeechobee Waterway in Stuart, Florida, accommodating vessels up to 135 feet in length. Utilizing the facility's covered yacht port, IMS American can perform weather-protected electronics installations on vessels up to 120 feet in length with a 52-foot clearance. IMS customers also enjoy the convenience of having access to a full range of marine services provided by ACY and its affiliates on site.
In 2005, IMS American and affiliated company Bausch-American Towers expanded their operations into North Carolina with the addition of an ultra-modern, 30,000 square foot waterfront facility situated on a 2.2-acre site at the Jarrett Bay Marine Industrial Park in Beaufort. Serving as the company's mid-Atlantic base of operations, the facility is fully heated and designed to accommodate two 80-foot vessels side by side with a 50-foot clearance.
