95′ Jim Smith
IMS American Marine Electronics and Bausch-American Towers (BAT) combined their talents yet again with the installation of a sophisticated navigation system and unique custom half tower on the 95′ Jim Smith MARLENA. Offering total redundancy between the main helm and sky bridge, razor-sharp navigation images are provided by four KEP glass bridge displays on the helm and two KEP 15″ Sunlight LCD monitors on the bridge. Both stations feature KEP video distribution control monitors allowing for fully interchangeable images on any monitor. The package is driven by a KEP Leviathan computer navigation system. Furuno NavNet components include a 3D black box MFD/chartplotter, a 3D digital UHD, 12 kW radar and a 25 kW sounder. Additional components by Furuno include a 25 kW black box radar and an AIS transponder with display. A Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter and a Simrad autopilot complete the navigation installation. Satellite communications are provided by a KVH Fleet Broadband 250 TracPhone. KVH also provided an all-inclusive TracVision satellite TV system with a Tri-Americas package allowing for simultaneous reception of DIRECTV and GLA (Galaxy Latin America) programming. Additional components include an ICOM 604 VHF radio, a KEP fish camera and Elbex closed-circuit weatherproof globe cameras in the cockpit and engine room.
91.5′ Sea Force IX
IMS American Marine Electronics provided state-of-the-art navigation and audio-video installations aboard the 91.5' FLAMINGO DAZE, a custom enclosed-flybridge sportfisherman. The bridge helm was outfitted with five 19″ KEP glass bridge monitors housed behind a smoked radius glass bridge display. Controlled by KEP BridgeView touch-screens, the array is programmed to receive interchangeable images on any monitor, including Furuno NavNet 3D radar, sounder and GPS; closed-circuit TV cameras; I.S.I.S. (Integrated Shipboard Information System) monitoring; communications and navigation computers; and XM WX Satellite Weather. The sky lounge bridge is equipped with three 15″ KEP LCD sunlight readable monitors receiving the same sources as the bridge helm. A Simrad autopilot and OceanView Apollo II thermal night-vision camera complete the navigation package.
The audio-video installation is no less spectacular. Every room in the vessel has been outfitted with Samsung LED TVs, fully automated via a Crestron control system and programmed for DIRECTV USA and GLA (Galaxy Latin America), AM/FM and XM satellite radio, iPod and Samsung Blu-ray disc players. The A/V package is supported by a Denon receiver with SpeakerCraft in-ceiling speakers and JL Audio speakers for all outside zones.
86′ Jim Smith
IMS American teamed up with Bausch-American Towers to outfit the 86′ Jim Smith PATSEA VII with a state-of-the-art custom tower and electronics package. Electronics included a glass bridge display system, Furuno black box commercial X and S band high sea radars, a 3kW echo sounder, an RGM ISIS vessel monitoring system, a KVH hi-definition satellite TV, and a KVH VSAT satellite phone with an (always on) broadband Internet connection.
83.5′ Sea Force IX
Working closely with the owner and captain, IMS American outfitted the 83.5′ Sea Force IX RUMBERA with an extensive electronics and entertainment package. The bridge helm layout, master-minded by IMS American Marine Electronics, features five 17″ displays with the ability to shuffle navigation images between any display, courtesy of an SSIR color touch screen and Furuno radar controller. The bridge installation also includes two NavNet 3D systems and an ISIS vessel monitoring system.
IMS American also installed a 46″ Samsung B650 LCD television in a salon cabinet, along with a hard drive movie/music server and 1080p player by Kaleidescape; a Denon 3808 stereo receiver; and a Paradox Magellan wireless vessel alarm system. Audio-video components are controlled by a Universal MX3000 remote control. Additionally, the master stateroom was outfitted with a Samsung 37-inch LCD TV, concealed by an automated Vutec art screen when not in use.
Custom fitted into the mezzanine, IMS American crafted an aft cockpit control station which features a monitor and hard button switching system controlling a selection of navigation images. A redundant system is mounted in the tower control box. A night vision camera completes the package.
82′ Sea Force IX
Following custom carpentry by ACY and a new BAT tower, IMS American outfitted the 82′ Sea Force IX BLACK SHADOW with an extensive navigation package by Furuno, Northstar and Simrad — along with a KVH TracVision satellite TV system and a Panasonic four-camera video monitoring system with DVR recording. Completing the package is a NVTI night vision camera and a 15-million candlepower Carlisle and Finch spotlight.
